A hysterical protester yelling about the “genocide” in Gaza interrupted a district town hall event being held by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., shortly after it began on Friday night.
As Ocasio-Cortez first began speaking, she pulled up a PowerPoint presentation for the night’s event. She was then interrupted before even getting through her first slide discussing the Trump administration’s budget cuts, including alleged cuts to local healthcare systems.
“I am a healthcare worker and I want to know what you’re doing about the genocide in Gaza!” the protester started shouting at the congresswoman.
“Shame! Shame! Shame!” the audience began shouting at the disruptor. Audible “boos” could be heard as well.
The protester also said that she used to support AOC.
The protester said, “You’re a war criminal! War criminal! War criminal! Shame on you, I used to support you!”
“You’re a war criminal! War criminal! War criminal!” she yelled on the way out of the auditorium, adding, “Shame on you, I used to support you!”
After a semblance of order was restored, Ocasio-Cortez responded to the provocative outburst.
“I more than welcome people who disagree, or are super pissed off at me for any issue to come, but we have some ground rules here,” she said.
DOGE has reached over $160 billion in savings.
According to Breitbart, this comes down to about $993.79 savings per taxpayer.
Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) savings have reached an impressive $160 billion, according to the latest update on the official DOGE website.
DOGE currently has taxpayer savings — which include “asset sales, contract/lease cancellations and renegotiations, fraud and improper payment deletion, grant cancellations, interest savings, programmatic changes, regulatory savings, and workforce reductions” — at an estimated $160 billion. This comes down to about $993.79 of savings per taxpayer.
Over the last week, DOGE has provided updates on taxpayer savings via the cancellation of wasteful contracts, terminating 179 in a two-day time span alone. According to DOGE, the ceiling value of these contracts came to $1.87 billion, resulting in a total savings of $280 million. Those contracts included “a $1.8M US Trade & Development contract for ‘energy and climate advisory services’, a $207k HHS consulting contract for a ‘grant writing workshop’ and an $89k Treasury contract for a ‘country program manager in Namibia.’”
Elon Musk is stepping back from DOGE soon to go back to working on his businesses.
Elon Musk said Wednesday that he’s in the process of stepping back from his nearly 24/7 role with the Department of Government Efficiency to focus on his businesses.
“Now we’re getting more of a rhythm,” Musk told reporters at the White House on Wednesday evening. “And so the amount of time that it’s necessary for me to spend here is much less, and I can return to primarily running my companies, which do need me.”
DOGE is getting rid of waste, fraud, and abuse.

The Trump agenda is working.
Donald Trump just announced a major action against Harvard.
Trump said, “We are going to be taking away Harvard’s Tax Exempt Status.”
We are going to be taking away Harvard’s Tax Exempt Status. It’s what they deserve!
Losing the tax-exempt status could cost Harvard millions.
Universities, as well as many charities and religious groups, are exempt from paying federal income taxes. This valuable tax break, though, can be removed if the groups become involved in political activities or move away from their stated purposes.
…
Losing the exemption could cost Harvard millions of dollars each year.
The Ivy League institution also has a fund of assets, or endowment, valued at $53bn.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio exposed that the Biden administration had a “disinformation” file on an unidentified Trump official.
Rubio said, “We had an office in the Department of State whose job it was to censor Americans…And, by the way, I’m not going to say who it is. I’ll leave it up to them. There’s at least one person at this table today who had a dossier in that building of social media posts to identify them as purveyors of disinformation. We have these dossiers. We are going to be turning those over to these individuals.”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio revealed during a Cabinet meeting that the Biden administration’s State Department kept dossiers on Americans accused of serving as “vectors of disinformation,” including a file on an unidentified Trump administration official.
“We had an office in the Department of State whose job it was to censor Americans,” Rubio said during Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting with President Donald Trump. “And, by the way, I’m not going to say who it is. I’ll leave it up to them. There’s at least one person at this table today who had a dossier in that building of social media posts to identify them as purveyors of disinformation. We have these dossiers. We are going to be turning those over to these individuals.”
Vice President JD Vance interjected, asking, “Was it me or Elon [Musk]? We can follow up when the media is gone,” and drawing laughter from the Cabinet.
“But just think about that. The Department of State of the United States had set up an office to monitor the social media posts and commentary of American citizens, to identify them as vectors of disinformation,” Rubio continued. “When we know that the best way to combat disinformation is freedom of speech and transparency.
According to The Hill, it appears to be referring to the Global Engagement Center.
The Global Engagement Center is now shuttered.
Rubio appeared to be referring to the now-shuttered Global Engagement Center, initially a bipartisan effort to track foreign disinformation online campaigns abroad, but that Republicans accused of policing Americans’ social media activity.
Terrible.
According to a new report, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is signaling to Democrats privately that they should pause the trips to El Salvador.
One House Staffer said, “They want to let the El Salvador stuff slow down.”
A staffer for Jeffries denied this, saying, “This is patently false, and thinly sourced innuendo.”
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is privately signaling to fellow Democrats that it’s time to hit pause on trips to El Salvador aimed at spotlighting the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a move reflecting growing internal tensions over how the party is handling border security and immigration enforcement optics in the 2026 cycle.
Though Jeffries has publicly said Democrats are committed to securing Abrego Garcia’s return from a notorious Salvadoran prison, sources told The Bulwark that the New York Democrat has discouraged more lawmakers from traveling to the country.
One senior House staffer described the leadership’s position bluntly: “They want to let the El Salvador stuff slow down.”
“This is patently false, and thinly sourced innuendo,” said Jeffries staffer Christie Stephenson. “When Leader Jeffries says ‘more is more’ pushback on this lawless administration, he means it. As Leader Jeffries has repeatedly said, House Democrats will never stop fighting for the release of Mr. Abrego Garcia.”
A previously unknown protection order filed against Kilmar Abrego Garcia has been revealed.
It was sought by his wife, Jennifer Vasquez.

The wife of the Democratic Party’s “Maryland Man” reportedly filed a previously unknown 2020 request for protection against Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who has recently been deported back to his home country of El Salvador, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
The wife, Jennifer Vasquez, sought the protective order on August 3, 2020, to bar Abrego Garcia from her house in Temple Hills, Maryland.

Trump administration National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and other staffers are out at the National Security Council, sources confirmed to Fox News.
Fox News confirmed Waltz and his deputy Alex Wong were purged Thursday.
Waltz, who previously served as a Florida congressman and as a decorated combat Green Beret, has come under fire from Democrats and critics since March, when the Atlantic magazine’s editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg published a firsthand account of getting added to a Signal group chat with top national security leaders, including Waltz, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CIA Director John Ratcliffe, while they discussed strikes against Yemen terrorists.
Waltz took responsibility for the inclusion of a journalist in the group chat in April, telling Fox News’ Laura Ingraham: “I take full responsibility. I built the group. … It’s embarrassing. We’re going to get to the bottom of it.”
A replacement has reportedly been talked about for weeks.
Names for a replacement have been discussed around the West Wing for weeks, but the plans to remove Waltz potentially as soon as this week gained steam in recent days, according to two of the people and another person close to the White House.
Trump revealed that Waltz will now be the ambassador to the United Nations.
I am pleased to announce that I will be nominating Mike Waltz to be the next United States Ambassador to the United Nations. From his time in uniform on the battlefield, in Congress and, as my National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz has worked hard to put our Nation’s Interests first. I know he will do the same in his new role. In the interim, Secretary of State Marco Rubio will serve as National Security Advisor, while continuing his strong leadership at the State Department. Together, we will continue to fight tirelessly to Make America, and the World, SAFE AGAIN. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Four House Democrats who raced to El Salvador to stand up for a deported illegal migrant with alleged criminal ties stayed in a luxury hotel with panoramic views of the country’s greenery, the Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.
Democratic Reps. Maxwell Frost of Florida, Robert Garcia of California, Maxine Dexter of Oregon and Yassamin Ansari of Arizona traveled to the capital city of San Salvador to advocate for the release of reputed MS-13 gangbanger Kilmar Abrego Garcia on April 21. They stayed at the Hilton San Salvador, a luxury property situated against a picturesque backdrop of the capital city’s volcano, a source familiar with the members’ accommodations told the DCNF.
The San Salvador hotel boasts rooms with scenic views of the capital city’s landscape and an outdoor terrace where guests can enjoy margaritas and dine on local culinary treats, including made-to-order pupusas. The hotel is described as providing a “tranquil retreat” for “those seeking comfort and convenience,” according to Hotels.com. Google rates the property as a five-star hotel.
House Republicans’ campaign arm sharply criticized the four Democrats for taking a “tropical vacation” during a congressional recess period when lawmakers are given time to spend in their district.
The lawmakers didn’t meet with Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
Per the Caller, the lawmakers did not meet with the suspected gang member during their trip to El Salvador. The report also said that their request to send an official Congressional delegation to the country was denied, noting that taxpayers would have to foot the bill for it had their request been granted.
The Democrat party puts American citizens last.
